Oops! Liberals Opposed Pandemic Response Plan in 2005

The recent outbreak of swine flu has brought out the partisans yet again.

As the liberals cry, "Those stupid republicans opposed $900 million for pandemic preparation in the stimulus package." Yet they forget that Democrat Senator Charles Schumer also opposed the same funds.
“All those little porky things that the House put in, the money for the [National] Mall or the sexually transmitted diseases or the flu pandemic, they’re all out,” Schumer said.

But avoids the greater point that when the GOP opposes almost $1 billion in pandemic preparations, they are "unhinged," "no-nothings," and the ever-present insult "wingnuts."

Hey liberals! Hold your name-calling lest we remind you that your own Democratic party opposed the Bush Administration's spending of $7.1 billion dollars on the Pandemic Response Plan on the grounds that "it didn't go far enough."

So $900 million tacked onto a bill with the unfocused purpose of "stimulus" would save us from this current crisis, but $7.1 billion in a focused pandemic action plan didn't go far enough?

Will the last liberal to leave the left wing of the Hall Intellectual Honesty please turn out the light?

God knows you're not using it any more.
