Blue Dogs Hold Health Bill Vote Until September, It's Probably a Trap

Fox is reporting that the Blue Dogs in the House have agreed to some provisions in the ObamaCare bill, but the agreement pushes the floor vote until September after the August recess.

In case you were wondering, this is fantastic news to all who support free choice and free market solutions to health care because it allows the Republicans to use the entire August recess to kick the ever-loving crap out of this bill. And much to the dismay of the Democrats, it allows their constituents and policy-makers to actually read the bill.

Obama and Pelosi's course of action so far has been to propose new items for discussion before the debate for the previous item was settled in efforts to divide the discussion and distract the populace. That won't work this time around.

This could be a ruse, though. The Democrats could agree to anything with the Blue Dogs, push the bill out of committee and force a vote before the August recess. "But you said they agreed to hold the vote until September." True, but those same Democrats also agreed to protect and defend the Constitution, and we see how long that promise lasted. This could be a disastrous move for the health bill, and that's why I suspect political foul play.

But if the reports are true and if they wait until September to vote, it could spell defeat for ObamaCare.

Conservatives can come at this bill from every angle, and with 53% of Americans opposed to congressional health care reform, and only 35% of voters in favor of any public health care option, the Republicans are in a prime position to kick this bill while it's down. And keep kicking and kicking and kicking until September.

So let's see it, Republicans, "Cry 'Havoc' and let slip the dogs of war, that this foul deed shall smell above the earth."
